From store bought to handmade

Thank you for stopping by! I would like to share a bit about us and our journey to making soap.  

As a little girl, I remember watching my grandmother pick herbs from her garden, tying them up to dry for herbal remedies.  She had a reputation for helping people with different ailments, a practice she learned from her father.  Natural remedies and living off the land was our way of life.

Fast forward a few decades later, it wasn’t until my own family started experiencing skin conditions that I began to apply my grandmother’s homeopathic remedies.  I came to the realization that my skin suffers from cleansers filled with synthetic ingredients that I can't pronounce; my skin simply needs a good wash with real ingredients. That's it, nothing complicated.  I am not against conventional medicine, but I also believe in natural remedies and think that both have their place in healing.  

This took me on a quest to research and study cold process soap making.  As I wholeheartedly applied myself to the craft, I was on a mission to create the perfect bar of soap.  The best way to achieve a quality product is by using superior ingredients that are pure, wholesome, and nourishing.  Many of the ingredients used in our handmade soaps are grown on our land with no harmful fertilizers.  We strongly believe that we are what we eat, and we apply the same principle to skin: our skin will reflect what we put on it.
